giving some attention.
Today was supposed to be super productive and it was in some ways, but not in the ways it was supposed to be and sure, it’s only 4:44 pm, but I have work in the morning so I’ll need to be asleep within the next 4 hours.
Less complaining though: How y’all doing?
I hope all is well.
Things are spiffy on this side of town.
My stomach is full, my heart is still unoccupied, and I’m still gainfully employed.
On the flip side of things, what’s the best way to tell someone (kindly, of course) that they kinda owe you money by default? I’ve been going out to these get togethers with one of my coworkers and while she’s paid for the toll (all of $5) to get across the bridge, she hasn’t pitched in for gas. Normally, I wouldn’t really press it—but since we’ve gone to 4 or 5 different events only using my car I think it’s only fair.
Not to mention I asked if we could use her car the most recent time and she was all…hesitant.
I mean, clearly the biggest reason this is something I’m even addressing is because I’m pressed for cash at this point—seeing your bank account at just shy of $12 will do that to ya when your tank is almost on E and you have $18 in cash to last your 3 trips over the bridge and 3 days worth of parking—which equals, not enough money. Anyway, I was going to ask a friend to spot me because I get paid Friday and then it hit me where all my money has been going…THESE FREAKING TRIPS ACROSS THE BRIDGE…and it’s not just trips with her but it certainly hasn’t helped and I know that it’s been at least a half tank of gas.
Well, typing this out gave me some internet courage (I guess that’s how these e-thugs can be so mean over the computer) and I asked her if she “wouldn’t mind” paying a little gas money.
I’m sorry.
I can’t be impolite.
I mean…I CAN…but like…I don’t like to be.
